Every three seconds poverty kills a child...EVERY THREE SECONDS!

I know it sounds so unbelievable. Sadly, it's very true. There are reports that this statistic is improving, but the numbers are still very high. The battle against poverty is a long way off.

Churches are just beginning to take their role in caring for the children devastated by poverty, injustice and oppression, and many are not sure what to do or how to make a difference.

Heart of God in Uganda is dedicated to being an advocate for children living in horrific conditions. Our prayers are that you would come along side Heart of God Uganda, to be a voice to those around you about God's heart for the millions of children who are living in poverty.

"You are the Lord, the God of all mankind. Nothing is too hard for You!" Jeremiah 32:37

Many times when a parent is sick and dying from AIDS/HIV, the oldest child becomes the parent. They are no longer able to go to school and must care for the dying parent as well as work and take care of the younger siblings. This in most cases is the standard for living in Uganda.

The next consideration deals with the childs education, and if the child should go back to formal education (which is normally the case with younger children and teenagers who were in school at the time of the death of the parents).

With your help Heart of God in Uganda can make a huge impact on the lives of Ugandan children. 

There Are Many Ways From Which You Can Choose to Help a Child in Poverty

You can support the work in this ministry in several ways:

Please stand with us as we attempt to show a generation of orphans that there is God who cares about them and loves them.

For a small donation, the amount most families spend on a single dinner, you can provide them with food, clothing and other essential needs for an entire month.

Your gift can make a huge difference in relieving and helping child victims of HIV/AIDS and street kids to have access to better health care, nutritious food, formal and vocational education.

Our economy is bad; our investments are losing money.  The food prices are rising, the cost of living seems to be escalating.  But one thing has not changed ... the Word of God still says, "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." (James 1:27)

God's economy is NOT this world's economy.  When we reach beyond man's logic and give even out of our own need, Jehovah Jireh proves Himself faithful.  Don't let the news media form your opinions of giving so others can live--let the Word of God be your roadmap for life.
